Coach Malik - Head Coach

President and Founder of the Cyclones Foundation, Coach Malik is a graduate of Sullivan University. 

He brings passion, knowledge and expertise to his role as head coach and has over 20 years of coaching experience with boys and girls spanning various age groups. 

He is also a Certified Interscholastic Coach through the National Federation of State High School Associations. 

Coach Christina Perkins

Coach Perkins is a graduate of Owen County High School and later Northern Kentucky University. She works as the manger of Business and Government Relations at Owen Electric Cooperative.

She is in her 8th year coaching girls basketball at Owen County High School as well as a youth league volunteer coach during this time. 

Coach Perkins says, "I coach basketball because I love the game but more so I love helping young ladies find their way in this world and supporting them long after the ball stops bouncing."

She and her husband Jared are both natives of Owen County and proud supporters of the Cyclones Foundation. 



Coach Natalie Smith

Coach Nat is Business major attending Georgetown College, KY and is a graduate of Owen County High School. 

She played six seasons on the varsity level for the Lady Rebels, who during her career were 6 time 31st District Champs and 2 time 8th Region Finalists

She was an All District and All Region Team selection her senior year. 

She has been a valued member of the Cyclones family since her days of starting point guard for the Cyclones girls 17 U team. 

Coach Lexie Moore

Coach Lexie is a graduate of Owen County High School. 

She played six seasons on the varsity level, five of those as a starter. She finished her career as the Lady Rebel's all time leading scorer (2,417) as well as 

All A State Champion (2022)

All A State MVP 

3x All A Tournament Team

4x All 8th Region Coaches Association 

4x All 41st District and 

4x All 8th Region Tournament Team

Lexie desires to give back and says, "I feel that I can help the girls in the program be successful in their dreams of playing at the next level because I have experienced this process. I know what it takes to get to the next level and I want to help the girls reach their full potential."
