Thank you for interest in The Cyclones Academy. I formed this nonprofit back in 2012 as the Capital City Cyclones Sports Program. I wanted to give student/athletes in my community an opportunity I didn't have growing up, which was a way to develop and learn the game without expensive fees.

Over the years it has taken on different forms. We have had high school boys teams, high school girls teams, middle school girls teams and even a radio station, but hey, that's a story for another day.

Through the many different aspects of our programming, the goal and mission has remained consistent, basketball player skill development. We have and continue to stand on the principle that the fundamental aspects must be mastered at an early age.

This is the reason that I have decided to further evolve what was started in 2012 as a summer basketball program, into a year round Academy that will assist with the basketball growth of young female athletes in our area.

Now that I have told you what we are, it is only right I tell you what we are not!

We are not an EXPOSURE program. We will not be playing a tournament every weekend or every other weekend for that matter.

We will not be traveling all over the United States to play in tournaments. We will not be charging outrageous fees for your child to participate in the program.

Not that any of those things are wrong,  it's just not what we do!

We will however, give your player a positive, structured learning environment where they can have fun, compete, bond with teammates and continue to grow as student/athletes.

Looking forward to a great 2024 campaign!
